Drop-In Display Fridges — FAQs

What size cut-out does a drop-in display fridge need?

Cut-out sizes vary by well count, but a single GN1/1 well typically needs a worktop cut-out of around 330-360mm wide; multi-well units scale up accordingly, so checking the manufacturer’s cut-out template before ordering the counter is essential.

Can drop-in display fridges be fitted into any counter?

They require a purpose-cut worktop opening and adequate clearance underneath for the refrigeration unit, so they’re best specified at the counter design stage rather than retrofitted into a finished counter.

The range is dominated by Cossiga, with Tefcold, Moffat, Kubus, Designline and CombiSteel also stocked, commonly specified for cafe counters, hotel buffets and care home servery counters.
