Arneg is an international refrigeration manufacturer founded in Italy in 1963 and now operating in more than 100 countries — one of the best-known names in retail multideck refrigeration. Craven Cooling supplies the Arneg remote multideck range in two formats: the glass-door OSAKA 2 and the open-fronted Panama, both running from a remote refrigeration system to display chilled grab-and-go stock at scale in supermarkets, convenience stores, forecourts, farm shops, butchers and food-to-go retail.

Key specifications

The Arneg remote multideck range comes in two formats — the OSAKA 2 with glass doors and the open-fronted Panama — in a standard 2,030mm height or an extra-tall 2,160mm. Single cabinets are available in 1.25m, 1.875m, 2.5m, 3.125m and 3.75m widths; larger runs of 5m, 6.25m and 7.5m are built by multiplexing cabinets together (for example a 6.25m run joins a 3.75m and a 2.5m), as the largest single cabinet is 3.75m. Cabinets hold chilled display temperatures (typically −1 to +5°C) from a remote condensing unit and need professional installation with a correctly sized remote pack. The glass-door OSAKA 2 uses around 65% less electricity than the open-fronted Panama. Solid end walls come as standard, with mirrored end walls available at extra cost, and fruit-and-veg shelving kits are available to suit.

What’s the difference between the Arneg OSAKA 2 and the Panama?

The OSAKA 2 is the glass-door version — its doors hold temperature better between customers and use around 65% less electricity than the open-fronted Panama. The Panama is the open-fronted version, chosen for maximum grab-and-go accessibility. Both are remote multidecks sharing the same height and width options.

How are the wider Arneg multideck runs made?

Single cabinets go up to 3.75m wide. Wider runs of 5m, 6.25m and 7.5m are created by multiplexing cabinets together — for example, a 6.25m run combines a 3.75m and a 2.5m cabinet on one remote system.

Do Arneg remote multidecks need special installation?

Yes — remote cabinets connect to a separate condensing unit and must be installed and commissioned by a refrigeration engineer, with the remote pack sized to the total cabinet load.
