Why this drop-in display fridge earns its place
The Tefcold CW4V is a wide drop-in buffet display fridge built into a counter or servery for chilled self-service. Its stainless steel well holds 221 litres gross and 218 litres net, presenting a long run of cold food at the point of service. The stainless finish inside and out wipes down easily in daily use.
It runs at +2 to +8 °C, the food-safe chilled band for buffet and grab-and-go lines, held by an electronic controller with automatic defrost so there is no manual routine to manage. Running noise is 42 dB, quiet enough for a customer-facing counter. At 1664.4 kWh a year it costs about £416 a year at 25p/kWh.
The chilled well measures 1344 × 576 × 186 mm (W×D×H) internally, the aperture to design your counter cut-out around, and the unit weighs 58 kg. It runs from a standard 13 amp supply, draws 235 W, and uses natural R290 refrigerant. Because it drops into a counter, confirm your worktop depth and cut-out before installation.
