Why this drop-in display fridge earns its place
The Drop-In Refrigerated Top Unit 3/1 is a refrigerated display well designed to be dropped into an aperture cut in a counter, buffet or servery island. Rather than a standalone cabinet, it becomes part of the fixed furniture — a chilled recess set flush into the worktop where cold dishes, desserts, deli items or grab-and-go food sit on show. It suits builds where the counter is the centrepiece and refrigeration needs to be integrated cleanly into the run rather than a separate fridge parked alongside. At 1115 mm wide and 610 mm deep, it offers compact display without dominating a smaller counter run.
In use it holds prepared cold food at chilled display temperature (−10 to +5 °C) within the counter itself, so staff or customers serve straight from the top. The 3/1 sizing sets how much of the counter it occupies and how many dishes or pans the well takes across its length. Because the refrigeration is built into the unit, it maintains the cold display as part of the servery without a remote pack, keeping cold food presentable through a service period.
Installation is a joinery job as much as an electrical one: the counter needs an aperture cut to suit the unit, which then drops in and sits flush with the worktop. The unit measures 1115 mm wide × 610 mm deep × 476 mm high and weighs approximately 66 kg when full. It requires a 230V supply and ventilation space below the counter for the built-in cooling. Plan the cut-out and services at the point the servery is built to ensure proper support and electrical access.
