Why this drop-in display fridge earns its place
The Drop-In Refrigerated Unit 5/1 is a refrigerated display unit built to be set into a counter, servery or buffet island rather than free-stand. At 1765 mm wide, it provides the widest chilled servery option for larger sites, converting an extended run of worktop into a chilled service zone where pre-prepared food stays cold and on show at the point customers or staff serve from. Its 5/1 footprint is built around the gastronorm 1/1 pan format standard in professional kitchens, so pans and trays move straight from prep and storage into the display.
This is a holding-and-display unit rather than a chiller for warm product: load it with food already brought down to temperature and it keeps that stock cold and presentable across service at -10 to +5 °C. Lid or cover pans outside trading hours to protect quality and ease the load on the refrigeration. The unit uses R 290 refrigerant with static cooling for reliability, runs on a 230 V 50 Hz supply, and weighs 80 kg — factors your installer should plan for when preparing the counter aperture.
In the drop-in format the unit is designed to sit in a prepared aperture, so your counter or island is cut and finished around it. The external dimensions are 1765 × 610 mm (depth), with 521 mm height — confirm the cut-out you need before joinery or fabrication starts, and route a power supply to the unit's position. Our team can advise on integrating it into a new or existing servery.
