Why this salad bar earns its place
The CW605 is a 1175mm wide drop-in chilled serve-over from CED's Designline range, designed to be recessed into a bespoke deli or servery counter so the product does the selling. It presents chilled deli lines — cooked meats, cheeses, charcuterie, pies and prepared foods — at the customer side of the counter, served by staff from the rear. Because it drops into a counter build rather than standing alone, it suits operators specifying a fitted deli or food-to-go counter rather than buying a freestanding cabinet. It holds three 1/1 gastronorm containers and runs at −1 to +5 °C to keep fresh deli stock properly chilled.
In service it works as a traditional serve-over: stock stays on chilled display facing the customer while staff assemble and hand over orders from behind. The cooling is fan-assisted and runs at 63.8 dB(A), a level suited to open counter service. The full operating temperature band, cooling method and noise level are listed in the specification table below, so you can check them against the deli lines you plan to hold and the front-of-house setting it will sit in.
As a drop-in unit it is built to sit into a counter aperture rather than roll into place, so the counter joinery and services need planning around it before install. The CW605 weighs 128 kg, so the counter structure and any lifting arrangement need to support that. Its gastronorm display capacity, external finish, weight, electrical supply and warranty are listed in the specification table — worth confirming the counter opening, size and support against your design before you commit.
