Why this salad bar earns its place
The CED Designline CW606 is a 1525mm wide drop-in serve-over display for a deli or counter-service operation, built to be recessed into a bespoke or existing counter rather than stand on the floor. The serve-over format puts fresh, chilled product in front of the customer while staff serve to order from behind, which suits cut-to-order and portioned lines where presentation at the counter drives the sale. It holds four 1/1 gastronorm containers and runs at −1 to +5 °C to keep fresh deli lines properly chilled through service.
As a chilled deli display it is built to hold and present fresh product across the service day. Because it drops into a host counter, it forms part of a continuous counter line rather than sitting as a separate cabinet, so the customer-facing counter reads as one clean run. The unit's cooling is fan-assisted, and it runs at 63.8 dB(A) — a noise level suited to front-of-house open serveries without intruding on customer conversation at the counter.
Being a drop-in unit, it is integrated into the counter build, so confirm the aperture size (1525mm width × 535mm height), support, drainage and electrical supply with your shopfitter or installer before ordering. The unit weighs 156 kg, so the counter structure and any lifting arrangement need planning before delivery. Planning the fit early keeps the display flush within the counter and the service side workable for staff.
