Why this multi purpose cleaner earns its place
This is Cleenol's Lift Descaler and Sanitiser in its ready-to-use 750ml trigger format, six bottles to a case.
The formula is the same foaming descaler as the bulk 5-litre version: it shifts lime scale quickly and safely, and it's effective against legionella bacteria, which is commonly harboured within lime deposits — so using it isn't just a cosmetic fix, it addresses a hygiene concern that builds up alongside the visible scale.Being in a 750ml trigger bottle rather than a bulk container makes it the practical choice for direct, everyday use around a washroom: descaling and sanitising shower heads, plumbing fittings and sanitary ware without decanting from a larger bottle first. It's versatile enough to double as a general surface descaler too, covering glass or acrylic shower cubicles, wash basins, toilets, ceramic tiles, taps, bathtubs, showers and chrome — useful for a cleaning trolley that needs one bottle to cover most of what a washroom throws at it.Supplied six to a case, this suits sites with several washrooms needing their own bottle in easy reach, or teams that prefer working from a ready trigger spray over refilling from a bulk drum.
It's classified as an irritant, so standard handling — gloves, care around skin and eyes — applies, and bottles should be stored securely rather than left accessible in customer-facing areas. For sites that get through the bulk 5-litre version quickly, this format is worth having as the day-to-day bottle that stays out on the cleaning trolley.
COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.
SDS
Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.
Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.
Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.
Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.
Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.
Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
