THE WORKING VIEW

Why this electric range earns its place

The E9184 is the all-in-one: four 4 kW cast iron hotplates up top, a full-size 2/1 gastronorm oven below with five shelf positions (two supplied as standard), and enough electrical grunt to run it all at once. Whether you're searing meat on the hobs, roasting vegetables, and baking bread simultaneously, this range handles it without breaking sweat. The 230/240V three-phase supply powers 22.3 kW, making it practical for service-driven kitchens—cafés running breakfast with side roasts, pubs cooking à la carte, takeaways with integrated baked goods.

The cast iron hotplates are built for durability. Each sits at 300 mm square, with six heat positions per plate, deep drawn wells to contain spillages, and raised corners that shed grease without creating trap-points for grime. One-piece hob construction, pressed and finished to avoid crevices. The oven chamber sits substantial: five shelf positions with two shelves in the box means you've got real flexibility—batch baking, roasting, or holding service plating—and the metal-to-metal door seal keeps heat locked where it matters. Temperature range of +80 to +280°C covers everything from gentle warming to hard roasting. The oven sits IPX5-rated, meaning spray-downs don't kill it.

Build runs 2 mm 304 culinary-grade stainless with cast iron hobs—a proven combination for years of service. The laser-cut edges on the hob let you join it edge-to-edge with other F900 kit for a seamless cooking suite. Mobile on adjustable castors, it slots into kitchens where layout flexibility matters or where service equipment needs repositioning during quiet hours.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Yes, but realistically 22.3 kW across four hobs and an oven means prioritization. In practice, if you're roasting hard in the oven, you'll run hobs at 80–90% to avoid tripping the supply. Most service styles don't need all-maximum at once—it's the flexibility to do four different things that matters. Run what your menu demands.

Five shelf positions total, two supplied. Each shelf holds a full 2/1 gastronorm tray. So you could run two roasting pans on one shelf, or mix—trays, sheet pans, whatever fits. Real flexibility for batch work.

+80 to +280°C. Preheating from cold to roasting temperature (around 200°C) takes roughly 20–25 minutes depending on ambient conditions. The metal-to-metal seal means heat retention is excellent once there.

Yes—cast iron wells, 300 mm square each, designed to stay flat and heat evenly. Clean food residue off; don't leave wet overnight. Cast iron darkens with use—that's normal and doesn't affect performance. Wipe spill-oil while warm, avoid shocking with cold water straight on hot iron.

Three-phase 230/240V only. Most commercial kitchens have three-phase; check with your electrician that capacity exists during installation. There's no single-phase alternative.

The laser-cut hob edges let you connect it edge-to-edge with other F900 units—pans, fryers, other hob equipment—building a continuous cooking line with no gaps. If you need repairs or servicing, contact Craven Cooling on 01792 732702.
