Why this double door pizza prep counter earns its place
The INFRICO MP1740 is a substantial double hinged-door pizza prep counter, built for kitchens running enough pizza volume to need real capacity beneath the board. At 1738 x 800 x 981 mm (W×D×H) it holds 485 litres gross across two doors, each fitted with five plastic trays sized 400 x 600 mm — a tray-based layout rather than gastronorm shelving, suited to holding portioned dough balls or prepped ingredients ready to pull.
Running temperature holds +2 to +6°C, maintained by fan-assisted cooling with fully automatic operation and automatic defrost, monitored on a digital temperature display. Annual consumption runs to 485 kWh, drawn through two 13A supplies rather than one. Climate Class 5 rates it to +43°C ambient — built to hold temperature next to ovens and other heat-generating equipment, not just a cool back room.
Build is high-grade AISI 304 stainless steel, exterior and interior, with rounded internal corners and an internal drain for easy cleaning — useful given the volume of prep this size of counter is built for. It's topped with a genuine granite worktop, hard-wearing and heat-tolerant against a hot peel. Both doors carry a replaceable gasket, and the cabinet sits on adjustable legs. It runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with negligible global warming potential. Gross weight is 288 kg.
