Why this stainless lid topping unit earns its place
The G-Line by TEFCOLD GVC33-150 is a refrigerated gastronorm topping shelf that sits along the back of a prep counter to keep garnishes and toppings chilled and to hand through service. It is built in SS201 stainless steel inside and out, wipe-clean and hard-wearing under constant handling, with a lid to cover stock down when the line is closed.
It holds toppings between +2 and +8 °C, managed by an electronic controller, and runs at 40 dB on R600a refrigerant. Defrost is manual, so build it into the cleaning routine. At 963.6 kWh a year the unit works out at about £241 a year at 25p/kWh, so factor it in as an always-on part of the make line.
The refrigerated well measures 1150 × 245 × 150 mm internally, sized to run a row of chilled toppings within reach of the person building each order. It runs from a standard 13 A supply, and the full stainless construction stands up to a wash-down cleaning regime.
