Why this glass topping unit earns its place
The Blizzard TOP2000-14CR is a glass-canopy topping unit designed to sit above a prep counter and put a bank of chilled GN 1/4 pans on show, rather than hiding them behind a solid lid. The glass structure keeps the ingredients visible to staff and customers alike while the stainless steel base and interior handle the everyday wear of a working prep station. At 2000mm wide it's built for a two-person prep run, giving space for a full row of GN 1/4 containers up to 150mm deep across the top of the counter.
Cooling is static, on R600a refrigerant, controlled through a Dixell digital unit that keeps the setpoint simple to check and adjust through a shift. Energy consumption is rated at 110 kWh a year, and the unit runs off a standard 13-amp plug-and-play supply, so it drops straight onto an existing circuit without special wiring. Climate class 4 covers ambient kitchen conditions up to 30°C, and defrost is manual, needing a periodic switch-off to clear any ice from the static coil.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior throughout, chosen for the constant wipe-down a display topping unit needs. At 2000 x 335 x 439mm and 85kg gross, the taller canopy profile gives clearance for the glass structure while still sitting flush on a matching prep counter. Noise output is a low 42dB, which matters when the unit is positioned somewhere customers can hear it, and a simple on/off switch with low-profile branding keeps the front-of-house look clean.
