Why this fresh meat display fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD SOCA90EXTB is a refrigerated serve-over counter built to present fresh product to customers across the counter. It puts 1.65 m² of display area on show for cut, weighed and served-to-order goods, with ventilated cooling circulating chilled air so product at the front of the display holds the same temperature as product at the back.
It runs a tight 0 to +4 °C band for fresh chilled product, managed by an electronic controller with automatic electric defrost to clear frost without shutting the counter down. Built to climate class 3, it is rated to hold that temperature through a warm ambient. Running noise is 60 dB, so factor that into a customer-facing position.
The counter cools on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 150 g charge and draws 530 W from a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply. It is a substantial fixed counter at 290 kg gross and 245 kg net, so plan the delivery route, floor loading and final position before it arrives. At 2182.7 kWh a year, running cost is about £546 a year at 25p/kWh.
