Why this tefcold trojan earns its place
The TEFCOLD Trojan T20 FGD A is a remote multideck display cabinet, built to merchandise a large run of chilled lines across 2.68 m² of display area. As a remote cabinet it runs from a separate condensing unit or central refrigeration pack rather than a built-in compressor, which keeps compressor noise and heat off the sales floor.
It sits in energy class C with a measured energy efficiency index of 27.2%, and uses 3817.9 kWh a year — about £954 at 25p/kWh on the cabinet alone. Because it is a remote system, whole-site running cost also depends on the condensing plant it connects to.
A remote cabinet needs its condensing unit and pipework specified and installed by a qualified refrigeration engineer. Plan the plant location, pipe runs and electrical supply as part of the install, and book a site survey before ordering so the system is sized correctly.
