Why this multideck earns its place
The CED Kubus CW649 is a low-height slimline drop-in multideck, built to be set into a counter or fixture line rather than free-stand. The low-height format is the point: at 1,467 mm tall, it displays chilled stock on open shelving while keeping the top of the cabinet below eye level, so customers and staff can see across the shop floor and sightlines to other fixtures and signage stay open.
At 600 mm wide and 750 mm deep, its narrow footprint suits tight runs and end positions where a full-height multideck would crowd the space or block a view. Three adjustable toughened glass shelves hold up to 247 litres of chilled drinks, food-to-go and impulse lines at −1 to +5 °C. Built from stainless steel with R290 refrigerant, it runs quietly at 63.8 dB(A), so it will not dominate the soundscape on a busy shop floor.
As a drop-in, the install is about the aperture and the services as much as the floor. Weighing 145 kg, it can be positioned by two people with care. The full operating specification — temperature band, capacity, weight, refrigerant and energy use — is on the product spec sheet, so confirm the opening size, electrical supply and clearances against those figures before building it in.
