Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The IC501SCE is a scoop ice cream display freezer with a glass canopy, built to sell loose scooping ice cream from a customer-facing counter. The canopy keeps tubs on show, with a white exterior and white painted-steel interior for a clean presentation. The interior measures 1420 mm wide, giving a broad run of scooping display.
It holds -24 to -14 °C under a mechanical controller with manual defrost, so build a regular defrost into your cleaning routine. It runs quietly at 45 dB, suiting a front-of-counter position, and carries climate class 5 for warmer ambient conditions such as a busy summer kiosk. Rated energy class D, it uses 930.7 kWh a year, about £233 at 25p/kWh, at an energy efficiency index of 44.1.
Internally the cabinet measures 1420 × 495 × 710 mm and runs on natural R290 refrigerant with a 110 g charge, drawing 191 W from a standard 13 A supply. Manual defrost and mechanical controls keep it simple to run and maintain.
