Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The IC402SCE-SO is a scoop ice cream freezer built for front-of-shop serving, where tubs are kept firm and on show for staff to scoop to order. The white cabinet holds 352 litres of gross volume across the well, giving room for a working range of flavours behind the glass. It is a display-and-serve format rather than back-of-house storage.
Cooling is static and the cabinet runs at -24 to -14 °C, the band that keeps scooping ice cream at a workable consistency. Defrost is manual and the controls are mechanical, so temperature is set and held without a digital menu. Running noise is 45 dB, and the freezer carries climate class 5, built to keep temperature reliably in warm shop-floor conditions. At 827.8 kWh a year that works out at about £207 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet is finished in white outside with white painted steel inside, and uses R290 refrigerant with a 105 g charge. It draws 320 W and runs from a standard 13-amp supply, so no special electrical work is needed. At 132 kg gross it is a two-person lift into position; plan the delivery route and final siting before it arrives.
