Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The DOLCE VITA 4 is a compact floor-standing scoop ice cream display freezer built for venues where floor space is tight but the flavour range still needs to be on show. The white and light-blue exterior gives it a bright retail look, while the stainless steel interior stands up to the wet, high-turnover conditions of an ice cream point. It puts a small run of tubs in front of the customer at eye-catching height without taking a large footprint.
In service it holds -20 to -10 °C, cold enough to keep scoop ice cream firm across its display band. Cooling is static and defrost is manual, so allow for a defrost as part of the regular cleaning routine rather than an automatic cycle. It draws a rated 806.6 kWh a year, which works out at about £202 a year at 25p/kWh — modest for a display freezer of this size.
The cabinet measures 654 mm wide, 665 mm deep and 1030 mm high, so at 654 mm across it passes through a standard doorway without special access. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220-240 V, 50 Hz, uses R290 refrigerant and is rated to climate class 4. At 99 kg gross and 78 kg net it is manageable to position, though still a two-person lift.
