Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The Zanzibar 8 is a static-cooled ice cream display freezer, built for scooping service at the front of the shop rather than back-of-house storage. The cabinet holds 360 litres and presents ice cream where customers can see the full flavour range, so staff serve straight from it. It suits parlours, seaside kiosks, cafés and convenience stores that want the ice cream on show to drive the sale.
Cooling is static, so there is no forced-air fan blowing over the product — that is a gentler approach that suits a customer-facing counter and helps keep the surface of the ice cream in scooping condition through the day. The digital controller holds the temperature band at -10 to -20 °C, and automatic defrost runs on schedule so you do not need to do it manually. In use it runs as a standalone counter cabinet — position it, switch on, let it pull down to temperature, then load and serve.
Before ordering, measure your counter run and the narrowest point of your access route against its external dimensions: 1214 mm wide, 674 mm deep and 935 mm tall. It weighs 66 kg when empty, so plan the delivery and installation access carefully. A display freezer needs both its footprint and a little clearance around it to breathe. It runs on 230V at 16 kW and uses R 290 refrigerant, so confirm the electrical supply is ready before delivery day.
