Product description

Winterhalter A25LS is a powdery, acidic concentrated descaler specifically designed for commercial warewashers. Its unique formulation, free from hydrochloric acid, is gentle on the warewasher even when the product is used frequently, which helps to prolong machine life. The special ingredients in A25GL are kind to stainless steel, preventing pitting corrosion. This descaler is suitable for a variety of materials, including glass, plastic, porcelain, stainless steel, as well as cutlery and utensils. However, it is not suitable for use on silver, aluminium (even anodised) and metal alloys.

For perfect cleaning results, the product is recommended for use in Winterhalter systems in combination with the corresponding warewasher, detergents, rinse aids and water treatments.

THE WORKING VIEW

Why this one earns its place

Winterhalter’s descaler powder is built to deal with limescale without the trade-off that a lot of acidic descalers bring: it’s free from hydrochloric acid, which means it’s gentler on the machine itself even when it’s used frequently rather than as an occasional deep-clean measure. That matters over the working life of a warewasher, since harsher acid-based descalers used often can shorten machine life considerably.

The formula is specifically kind to stainless steel, preventing pitting corrosion – a real risk with lower-quality descalers used regularly on stainless components. It’s rated for use as required across all commercial warewashers, and it’s suitable for a broad range of materials in the wash load: glass, plastic, porcelain, stainless steel, plus cutlery and other utensils. It’s explicitly not suitable for silver, aluminium (even anodised) or metal alloys, so those items should be kept out of the load or washed separately when descaling is due.

As with the rest of the range, it’s recommended alongside the matched Winterhalter warewasher, detergent, rinse aid and water treatment system for best results. It comes as a white, unperfumed powder in a 1kg pack, and carries an irritant hazard classification, so normal handling precautions apply when dosing it.
