Why this washing up liquid earns its place
Suma Star D1 is a concentrated hand washing up liquid built for the volume of pot washing a commercial kitchen actually generates, rather than domestic-strength washing up liquid stretched too thin. It's designed to cut through grease and dried-on food across crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and utensils in one wash.
Dilution runs from 1:500 to 1:1000 depending on how soiled the load is, and at that strength a single 5-litre bottle delivers approximately 250 uses – a genuinely low cost-per-use for a busy pot wash. It's designed to work with a Jantex pelican pump (GF368) for a consistent 25ml dose each time, so staff aren't guessing how much to add to the sink.
The formula is food-safe, so it's suited to direct contact with crockery, glassware and cooking equipment in a commercial kitchen, and it's built to leave a streak-free finish that rinses off easily rather than leaving a filmy residue behind. It carries a slight perfume, a small point of difference versus some unperfumed catering detergents.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

SDS
Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
