Why this one earns its place
Running a non-OEM chemical through an automatic oven wash system is a common way to void warranty cover or wear parts prematurely, which is exactly why Electrolux formulates C20 specifically for its own Professional ovens.
It’s built for high degreasing power against grease, stuck-on food and general cavity contamination, matched precisely to how the automatic washing cycle is designed to work. The formula has also been revised to remove EDTA, making it a more environmentally considerate option than older oven detergents while keeping the same degreasing performance the automatic wash cycle depends on.
Electrolux backs it with a reliability commitment — because it’s the detergent the oven was designed around, there’s no risk of premature part failure from using an unmatched or overly aggressive chemical. It’s designed to be used alongside Electrolux’s own C21 Rinse Aid (HZ293) for the full wash-and-rinse cycle, rather than as a standalone product, so ovens get both the degreasing and the finishing rinse the automatic system expects.Supplied as two 5 litre jugs (10 litres total) in ergonomic packaging built for easier handling and stock storage, it carries a corrosive hazard label and should be dosed through the oven’s automatic system as intended.

COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
Guidance summary only — the product label, the current safety data sheet and your own COSHH assessment remain the authority.
