Why this degreaser earns its place
Some degreasers leave a scent behind that's fine on a floor but not around food, which is exactly the problem this Cif Pro Formula degreaser is built to avoid. It's perfume-free, making it non-tainting and safe to use across kitchen and food-prep areas where fragrance carryover onto food would be a problem.
The formula is fast-acting, rapidly dissolving thick grease and fat deposits on contact, and comes pre-diluted in a trigger spray bottle so staff can pick it up and start working without measuring or mixing anything first. It's also safe for use on aluminium, extending its reach across mixed-metal kitchen equipment.
Coverage is generous for a 750ml bottle – each one delivers approximately 750 sprays – and it's suitable for utensils, pots, pans, cookers, hoods, filters, floors, walls, doors and drains, covering most of the places grease ends up in a working kitchen.
COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
