Why this filter earns its place
When your extraction canopy starts losing suction, it's usually the filter. This baffle filter sits inside the ductwork of a commercial canopy and traps airborne grease and particles before they reach the fans and ducting. Over time—especially in a busy kitchen—it clogs. When it does, your canopy can't breathe, heat builds up, and your kitchen gets grimy.
The 400×500mm format fits the majority of standard commercial kitchen canopies. It weighs just 2kg, so swapping it out takes minutes—no special tools, no downtime. The silver finish is non-corrosive and easy to clean if you want to extend the filter life with a soak and rinse between full replacements. At only 48mm thick, it doesn't eat space in tight ductwork runs.
Baffle filters are the workhorse of kitchen extraction. They catch the bulk of the grease, dropping it back into the canopy where it drains safely away, while allowing clean air through to the fan and to the outside. Replace it regularly and your extraction stays efficient—ignore it and you'll be cleaning ducts and fighting poor ventilation.
