Why this chest cooler earns its place
The EBC35 is a chest cooler for chilled bulk storage. Unlike a freezer, it holds stock at fridge temperature — +3 to +10 °C — so the top-opening chest layout suits keeping drinks and chilled produce cold and to hand. It gives 278 litres gross and 275 litres net usable inside a white cabinet.
Day to day it runs on static cooling with an electronic controller holding the set point, and manual defrost keeps the design simple. Running noise is 44 dB, cooling is on R600a refrigerant, and it carries a climate class 4 rating for use in warmer ambients. It holds a B energy rating at 211.7 kWh a year — about £53 a year at 25p/kWh — drawing 165 W in use.
The cabinet measures 1096 × 696 × 857 mm externally and ships packed at 1140 × 710 × 880 mm, so check doorway and delivery access against the packed size. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220-240 V, holds 60 g of R600a, and weighs 44 kg net.
