Why this blast chillers & blast freezer earns its place
The BLCB3X1 is a blast chiller and freezer that pulls freshly cooked food down through the temperature danger zone quickly, then holds or hardens it. In a working kitchen that means cook-chill and cook-freeze batches can be turned around without tying up the service fridges, protecting food quality and supporting HACCP records. Gross capacity is 156 litres, with 88 litres of net usable space.
It works across a -30 to +70 °C range under a programmable touchscreen controller, covering both rapid chilling and freezing cycles. Defrost is automatic and uses hot gas, so the evaporator clears without a manual routine, and the unit runs at 60 dB. Loading is through a single self-closing hinged solid door, which pulls itself shut between trays.
The cabinet is SS304 stainless steel inside and out, wipe-down for a busy prep area. External dimensions are 800 × 877 × 840 mm (W×D×H) with a 440 × 695 × 370 mm internal chamber, and it ships packed at 870 × 955 × 1100 mm. Cooling is by R290 with a 130 g charge, drawing 720 W from a 220–240 V/50 Hz supply; net weight is 116 kg, gross 149 kg.
