Why this double door saladette fridge earns its place
The Blizzard HBC2EN is a twin-door refrigerated prep counter built for topping-based service — a saladette with a raised collar along the back edge that accepts GN1/3 containers up to 150mm deep, holding chilled toppings at arm's reach above a 300mm-deep working area for assembly. At 1360 × 700 × 1075mm, it's taller than a standard counter fridge specifically to accommodate that raised collar and prep surface, with 282 litres of chilled storage in the cabinet below.
Two adjustable shelves organise stock in the cabinet, and an even, ducted air distribution system keeps temperature consistent through both the storage compartment and the working surface above. Cooling is ventilated, controlled through a Dixell digital controller, and the unit runs on a standard 13-amp supply — Blizzard rates it at 350 kWh a year, reflecting the extra load of keeping both the cabinet and an open topping well in range through service.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior, rated climate class 4 and running at 42dB. Both doors below are self-closing with a dwell position for hands-free loading and fitted with replaceable gaskets, and internal corners are rounded for cleaning. The refrigerant is R290, defrost is automatic, and the whole 120kg unit sits on lockable heavy-duty castors. It's available with a 2 or 3 drawer option below in place of the doors.
