Why this prep counter earns its place
The FA856 is a countertop prep fridge from Polar's G-Series, designed to sit on the worktop and present eight 1/4 GN pans at the point of assembly. It puts prepped toppings, garnishes and cold ingredients where the kitchen builds plates, so staff are not crossing the line to the main fridge mid-service.
The stainless lid holds cold over the pans between orders, and the manufacturer states compatibility with 1/4 GN containers up to 100 mm deep. The chilled band is +2 to +8 °C on static cooling, which is right for working cold prep rather than frozen or long-term bulk storage.
As a self-contained countertop unit it drops onto an existing prep bench without plumbing or separate plant. The footprint is 1800 mm wide, 335 mm deep and 274 mm high, with a 37 kg gross weight, so confirm the bench run and clearance for the lid before ordering.
