Why this under counter freezer earns its place
The LR200 is Foster's single-door undercounter freezer, built to sit beneath a worktop and hold frozen stock at the line. At 96 litres net capacity across two shelves, from a 196 litre gross cabinet, it gives a station its own frozen store without taking up upright floor space. The unit runs at -21 to -18°C, so it is for properly frozen product rather than chilled prep.
Day to day it runs as frozen storage under the counter, keeping ingredients and back-up stock within reach of the cook. Because it tucks under the work surface, the top stays usable as bench space while the freezer works below. Its 824 x 684 x 755mm external size and 84kg gross weight need checking against the route into the kitchen as well as the final aperture, especially where the freezer is being fitted into an existing counter run.
The stainless-steel exterior, aluminium interior and 50mm insulation are built for back-of-house use, while fan-assisted cooling and R290 refrigerant keep the cold moving through the cabinet. It runs from a 230V supply with 340W rated input, carries a D energy class and is listed at 4.4 kWh per 24 hours, so the energy label decoder is useful if you want to turn the 1605 kWh/year figure into a site-specific running cost. Check the aperture height and worktop clearance against your bench before delivery, and leave ventilation space for the refrigeration to breathe.
