Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF1821 is a walk-in chiller room for bulk chilled storage in a commercial kitchen, cellar or back-of-house. The internal chamber measures 1640 × 1940 × 2040 mm (W×D×H), giving full standing height and floor space to hold trolleys, trays and stacked fresh stock in one controlled environment instead of across several upright fridges.
It runs at 0 to +8 °C, the working band for chilled food storage. Defrost is automatic and hot-gas, keeping the evaporator clear without the room being shut down, and an electronic controller manages the cycle. Running noise is around 60 dB(A). At a rated 6833 kWh a year, that is about £1708 a year at 25p/kWh, with the compressor drawing 860 W.
The chamber is finished white inside and out and is entered through a single hinged solid door 700 mm wide by 1845 mm high — worth checking against your access route, as the room ships as panels for on-site assembly. It runs on a 220-240 V supply, uses R290 refrigerant with a 130 g charge, and weighs 485 kg gross.
