Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The Combisteel 7489.1065 is a walk-in cold and freezer room: a self-contained insulated store that a busy kitchen walks into rather than reaches into. It gives back-of-house the space to land deliveries, hold prepped stock and rotate product in one controlled environment, instead of spreading it across separate cabinets. As a cold and freezer room it can be set up for chilled holding or frozen storage, so the same shell suits either job depending on how it is specified.
In use the room holds a steady, controlled environment behind an insulated door, with the refrigeration unit doing the cooling and the room holding the stock. Walk-in access lets you move trolleys, racks and full trays straight inside, so loading, rotation and stock-takes all happen within the store. Whether it runs as a chiller or a freezer is set by the refrigeration unit chosen for it.
The room is built from modular insulated panels that assemble on site, so it arrives in sections and goes through standard door openings rather than needing to be moved in one piece. Installation needs a firm, level base, room to build, and a refrigeration engineer to fit and commission the unit, so treat it as a build with siting, drainage and power planned in. Craven Cooling can specify the room and unit together and arrange servicing.
