Why this single door upright fridge earns its place
The RIC880X1 is a single-door upright roll-in chiller built to take a loaded rack or trolley straight through its hinged solid door and into chilled storage — no unloading onto shelves at the point of transfer. With 1005 litres gross and 416 litres net behind a full-height SS304 stainless door, it holds prepped stock, trays and bulk product at a steady chilled band in a working kitchen or production area, and the SS304 lining wipes down for hygiene.
Day to day it runs a +2 to +10 °C band with ventilated cooling for even temperature across the cabinet, and automatic off-cycle defrost that clears the evaporator without manual intervention. It is rated to climate class 5 for demanding back-of-house ambients, and at 52 dB it sits quietly enough for a prep area. With annual consumption of 1547.6 kWh, running cost works out at about £387 a year at 25p/kWh.
Externally it measures 880 × 994 × 2201 mm (W×D×H) over an internal 720 × 836 × 1810 mm, and ships packed at 905 × 1030 × 2350 mm — worth checking against door widths and lift access before delivery. Net weight is 155 kg (188 kg gross). It runs on a 220–240 V/50 Hz single-phase supply drawing 330 W, and uses R290 refrigerant with a 105 g charge.
