Why this wine chiller earns its place
The GM628 is a Polar G-Series upright wine fridge with a stainless steel finish, designed to hold and merchandise wine as part of a front-of-house or retail display. Its dual-zone layout splits the cabinet into two separately controlled compartments, holding approximately 109 bottles across 320 litres. One unit presents a red and a white selection at their own serving conditions rather than forcing a single compromise temperature across the whole stock.
Because it runs as two zones, day-to-day use is about setting each compartment for what it holds — one kept warmer for reds, one cooler for whites or sparkling — and letting the cabinet maintain each independently. It runs from +5 to +20 °C per zone with fan-assist cooling and R600a refrigerant, drawing 150W and consuming 118 kWh per year (energy class F). The noise level is 36 dB(A), quiet enough for front-of-house use. Keeping the display stocked and loading heavier bottles low helps hold steady conditions through service.
Treat the GM628 as a floor-standing upright at installation: it stands 1575 mm tall, 595 mm wide and weighs 102 kg. Confirm the opening it has to pass through and allow ventilation clearance around the cabinet before delivery. Full external dimensions and electrical requirements are given in the specification table. Craven Cooling can talk through siting, supply and servicing before you order.
