Why this wine chiller earns its place
The Liebherr WPBL 5001 is an upright wine storage fridge from Liebherr's WPBL range. As the name says, it is built around storage — keeping a bottled wine range upright and in condition in a freestanding cabinet rather than merchandising it out front. At 1684 mm wide, 763 mm tall and 597 mm deep with six adjustable shelves, it holds substantial stock (weighs 85 kg) and is the cabinet you reach for when the priority is holding a working range properly, close to where it will be poured, without committing to a full cellar.
The WPBL 5001 keeps bottles at a steady, controlled temperature between 5 and 20 °C using Liebherr's TempProtect Plus technology and low-vibration operation, so wine stays in condition from storage through to service. Stored upright and held at the right temperature, a range keeps rather than drifts, which is what separates a cabinet designed for wine from a general fridge. At 38 dB(A) it runs quietly, and it uses 113 kWh per year (Energy class F), so running cost is straightforward to calculate.
Plan the position before delivery. Check the dimensions (1684 × 763 × 597 mm), shelf layout and electrical supply (220–240 V) against your space and doorway, and have a qualified person confirm the socket position. The temperature handling, shelf layout, running characteristics and 2-year warranty are all set out in the spec table, so read them against the range you hold and how you serve before ordering.
