Why this wine chiller earns its place
The Polar G-Series GM629 is a dual-zone upright wine fridge in a stainless-steel finish, built to hold and present a working wine list rather than a single serving temperature. Its two independent zones let you keep reds and whites — or serving stock and cellar stock — at different temperatures in one cabinet, so front-of-house has the right glass ready without a second unit. Across 15 shelves it lays bottles out for easy selection, holding up to 172 bottles in a 450-litre footprint.
In daily use it offers 450 litres of capacity over 15 shelves, enough to lay out a substantial list while keeping bottles ordered and pickable. It draws only 150W and consumes 125 kWh per year (energy class F), a modest electrical load for a cabinet this size. Set each zone to the band your reds and whites need — the range is +5 to +20 °C per zone, so you can tailor serving temperatures precisely. The cabinet uses fan-assist cooling with R600a refrigerant.
As a floor-standing upright at 1850 mm tall and 595 mm wide, weighing 112 kg, it needs a level spot with airflow clearance and a socket within reach. The stainless-steel body is built to be seen, suiting guest-facing bar runs. Confirm the delivered external dimensions against your doorway and alcove and plan the route in before install.
