Why this curved glass cake display fridge earns its place
The Tefcold LPD1700C is a curved-glass chilled display cabinet for cakes, desserts and patisserie, presenting stock across 2.75 m² of display on three glass shelves plus the base deck. Its stainless steel and glass build suits a café, bakery or patisserie counter where a large, high-visibility chilled display drives impulse sales. At 1705 mm wide it works as a statement front-of-house cabinet.
It holds a +2 to +8 °C band, suited to chilled cakes and cream products, with automatic off-cycle defrost to clear the coil during trading. It carries a climate class 3 rating, so it is built to hold temperature in warmer interiors. At its rated 5796.2 kWh a year, running cost is about £1449 a year at 25p/kWh, and it sits in energy class D.
The cabinet measures 1705 × 745 × 1360 mm (W×D×H); internally it offers 1550 × 580 × 780 mm of display space, and packed it is 1760 × 800 × 1500 mm, so check the delivery route and floor position. It weighs 313 kg net, runs from a standard 13 A, 220-240 V supply with a 690 W input, and uses 700 g of natural R290 refrigerant.
