Why this serve over counter earns its place
The Moffat Versicarte Pro VC3RDTR, listed here as the DA823, is a multi-tier chilled display for self-service food-to-go. Its open, refrigerated tiers put sandwiches, salads, pots, drinks and other prepared lines on show at several levels, so customers can browse and pick for themselves. It measures 1640mm high by 1160mm wide and 680mm deep, holding 164 litres across three adjustable glass shelves. It suits cafés, delis, buffets and food-to-go fixtures that need to move a lot of chilled grab-and-go product at pace without taking up a wide floor footprint.
In service it works as an open, self-service merchandiser: pre-chilled product is stacked across the tiers and held on display while customers help themselves. Multiple tiers put more range in front of people in the same floor space, which lifts self-service throughput. Load it with product that's already cold, rotate to keep the front fresh, and clear it down at close. It runs at 2 to 8 °C with an energy class E rating and uses 2000W — the exact energy figures and tier layout are on the live spec table on this page.
At 160kg the unit is lighter than the larger four-tier model yet still needs a firm, level floor with clearance around it for the refrigeration to ventilate, away from ovens, heaters, draughts and direct sun so an open display can hold temperature. Full dimensions, weight and electrical requirements are on the spec table below — check them against your floor space and 230V supply before ordering. Craven Cooling can support and service the unit after install.
