Why this buffet bar earns its place
The Combisteel Refrigerated Buffet GN 4/1 is a chilled buffet display built around gastronorm sizing — the well takes a GN 4/1 layout, so it drops straight into a kitchen already running standard 1/1 pans. It is the format for self-service and assisted-service food that has to stay cold on show: a breakfast spread, a salad and cold-starter line, a grab-and-chill counter. The counter measures 1400 mm wide by 800 mm deep, so it reads as a solid presence on a servery line without dominating the space.
In service the refrigerated well holds the pans of prepped food at +0 to +10 °C through the session, so front-of-house can top up and rotate without carrying stock back and forth from a fridge. The unit uses R290 refrigerant with automatic defrost and static cooling — no fans running, so it stays quiet in a customer-facing setting. LED interior lighting keeps the food lit for presentation. Because it works to gastronorm, pans lift straight in and out for a swap or a clean-down, which keeps a self-service line moving at the busy stretch.
It is a freestanding buffet unit that weighs 230 kg and connects to a standard 230V mains supply, so it can anchor a fixed servery or move to where the service is that day. Plan a level surface and a clear delivery route, and keep the airflow around the unit clear so it holds temperature under a warm room. Craven Cooling can advise on siting and supply before you buy.
