THE WORKING VIEW

Why this undercounter earns its place

The BC3 is a back-bar bottle cooler designed to slot undercounter where you need chilled stock visible but out of the way. Three glass doors open independently, so your staff picks a bottle without disturbing the rest of the display. Stainless steel shell stands up to spilled drinks, citrus spray, and the daily wipe-down of a busy bar — it won't rust or mark easily.

Glass doors are the working detail here. Customers and staff can see what's chilled and ready without opening the cabinet and warming the stock. That means less door-opening during service, which keeps running costs down and keeps bottles at the right temperature. Undercounter fit means it sits flush under your bar surface or counter, taking no floor space in the service area.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Standard undercounter bottle coolers are 800–900 mm tall. Measure your gap from countertop to floor, and confirm the door swing doesn't clash with the bar layout. Call 01792 732702 if you need exact dimensions or have a tight space.

Depends on trading hours and ambient temperature. The energy label decoder tool takes any cabinet's kWh rating and your pence per unit, then shows annual cost. Most back-bar coolers run in the £200–350 per year range on standard tariffs.

Back-bar coolers are quieter than open multideck displays but louder than a closed display cabinet. If your bar backs directly onto seating, position it away from customers' ears or run it on a low vibration mount. Call us to discuss — some units are quieter than others.

Depends on bottle size and how you arrange the shelves. A typical configuration holds 80–120 standard wine or beer bottles across three doors. Check your stock rotation needs and adjust the shelf layout.

Standard glass doors don't lock individually. If you need to secure expensive stock, discuss with us on 01792 732702 — some models come with locking mechanisms.

Typically +2 to +8°C, suitable for wine, beer, and soft drinks. Confirm with the product specs if you need a tighter band for premium wines.
