Why this beer dump earns its place
The TEFCOLD BHC200X1 is a stainless-steel bottle chest cooler built for bulk drinks chilling at the point of service. With 615 litres of gross capacity and 429 litres of usable space, it holds a large bank of bottles and cans ready to serve, which suits busy bars, festivals, events and any setting that empties a fridge faster than it can restock. The SS201 stainless exterior and interior stand up to a wet, high-traffic environment.
It runs at +2 to +8 °C using static cooling and an automatic defrost, set by a mechanical thermostat. Natural-hydrocarbon R600a refrigerant (a 95 g charge) and a rated 42 dB noise level keep it efficient and quiet enough for front-of-house use, and it carries an energy class of C with a climate class 4 rating for warmer rooms. On its rated 1248.3 kWh a year, running cost is about £312 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 2005 × 565 × 930 mm externally and ships packed at 2050 × 630 × 960 mm, so the packed depth clears a standard doorway though the two-metre length needs room to manoeuvre. It weighs 131 kg gross and 101 kg net, and runs from a standard 220–240 V / 50 Hz supply. As a top-loading chest, leave clear headroom above the lid for loading and service.
