Why this impulse cooler/freezer earns its place
The BTA80-B1 is a compact impulse can cooler, built to sit at the point of sale and keep cans and small bottles cold where the customer decides to buy. It is a self-contained till-side cooler rather than an aisle cabinet — the format that turns a chilled drink into an add-on at the counter.
The cooler is rated energy class B, with a measured consumption of 156.9 kWh a year and an energy efficiency index of 16.5%. At 25p/kWh that works out to about £39 a year to run, which keeps the cost of a permanent chilled impulse point low.
It measures 569×569×832 mm externally and holds 80 litres of chilled stock at +1 to +9 °C — slightly larger than the BTA54 but still a compact till-side format. At 32 kg and fitted with castors, it moves easily for restocking and cleaning. The unit runs at just 70W on a standard 220–240V supply, so electrical planning is straightforward.
