Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The EIDA 150B is an open-front impulse display unit built to put stock directly in the shopper's reach at the point of sale. With 2.3 m² of merchandising area and no door between customer and product, it is designed for the high-turnover impulse position — an end-of-aisle or checkout fixture where easy access drives the pick-up. The black RAL9005 exterior keeps it reading as a retail display, and a coated-steel interior stands up to daily loading.
It holds 326 litres of gross capacity, 298 litres of it usable, run by an electronic controller with ventilated cooling for even performance across the open deck. Automatic hot-gas defrost clears the coil quickly without a long shutdown, which suits a fixture that stays trading through the day. Running noise sits at 59 dB. With an EEI of 28.6 and 3175.5 kWh a year it is an energy class C unit, costing about £794 a year to run at 25p/kWh.
It is a substantial fixture at 345 kg gross and 270 kg net, so plan delivery access and mechanical handling before it arrives. Cooling is on natural-refrigerant R290 with a 150 g charge, drawing 480 W. Confirm the intended position and its power route ahead of the delivery date.
