Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The IC302SCE-SO is a scoop ice cream freezer for front-of-shop serving, keeping tubs firm and visible for staff to scoop to order. It holds 264 litres gross, 230 litres net, in a white cabinet — a compact working range of flavours behind the glass rather than bulk back-of-house storage.
Cooling is static and the freezer runs at -24 to -14 °C, the band that keeps scooping ice cream at a firm, workable consistency. Defrost is manual and the controls are mechanical, so temperature is set and held without a digital menu. Running noise is 45 dB, and the cabinet carries climate class 5, built to hold temperature reliably in warm shop-floor conditions. At 772 kWh a year that is about £193 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet is finished in white outside with white painted steel inside, and uses R290 refrigerant with an 85 g charge. It draws 300 W in use. Energy class is D. Static cooling keeps the mechanism simple, with manual defrost the routine upkeep task.
