Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The Tefcold IC302SC-SO is a scoop ice cream display freezer with 296 litres of gross capacity and 255 litres of net storage. It is built to present and serve scooping ice cream from a single station, so a parlour, café or seaside kiosk can hold a full range of flavours ready to serve at the counter.
The cabinet holds -24 to -14 °C under a mechanical controller, keeping ice cream at scooping temperature, and draws 300 W. Defrost is manual, so you build a regular clear-down into the routine. Rated energy class D at 662.5 kWh a year, it works out at about £166 a year at 25p/kWh, and it reads at 45 dB.
It runs on R290 refrigerant with an 85 g charge and is rated to climate class 5, so it holds temperature in warm ambient conditions. The exterior is white with a white painted-steel interior; full dimensions, weight and electrical requirements are in the specification table below.
