Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The Tefcold IDC152C-W1 is a sliding curved-glass-lid chest freezer, built to merchandise ice cream and frozen lines rather than tuck them away. The curved glass top puts the stock on show, and the sliding lid gives access without a full opening, so a kiosk, parlour or shop can display frozen impulse product where customers reach for it. It holds 152 litres gross and 110 litres net.
On running cost, it is rated energy class D and uses about 562.1 kWh a year, which is roughly £141 a year at 25p/kWh, with an energy efficiency index of 49.9. It is rated to climate class 7, so it is specified to hold in a warm retail environment.
It runs on R600a refrigerant with a 70 g charge, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant.
