Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD NIC301SCEB is a display chest freezer with a sliding curved glass lid, built to merchandise frozen stock while keeping it in view. Its 286-litre gross capacity suits ice cream, frozen novelties and impulse lines, and the curved glass top lets customers see in while the lid stays closed on the cold. A white exterior and white painted-steel interior keep it clean on the shop floor.
It runs static cooling from -24 to -14 °C, cold enough to hold ice cream and frozen product hard, with manual defrost and a mechanical controller you set once and leave. At 45 dB it stays quiet for customer-facing areas, and climate class 5 means it is built to hold temperature in warm ambient conditions. Energy class D at 638.8 kWh a year works out at about £160 a year at 25p/kWh.
It uses natural R290 refrigerant with an 85 g charge and draws 141 W, running from a standard 13 amp socket, so no special electrics are needed. The sliding curved glass lid gives over-the-top access without a door swing, useful where floor space in front of the cabinet is tight.
