Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The BDF22 is Blizzard's curved glass lid display chest freezer — a compact frozen display where the curved glass lid lets customers see the stock from above. That makes it a merchandising unit as much as a freezer: ice cream tubs, frozen impulse lines and packaged frozen product all stay on show through the glass. At 740 mm wide it drops into a corner, a counter end or a kiosk without eating much floor.
Day to day it runs quietly for a front-of-house position, rated at 48 dB, and uses R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant. It carries a climate class 4 rating — a higher band that suits warmer, harder-working environments such as a summer kiosk or a busy shop floor. Defrost is manual, so you periodically switch the freezer off and clear the ice as part of routine cleaning; the full temperature and energy figures are in the specification table below.
Installation is straightforward given the size: 740 × 680 × 850 mm and 58 kg, light enough for a two-person lift and a normal doorway. The 680 mm depth keeps it tight to a wall or counter, and at 850 mm high the curved glass lid sits at a comfortable height for customers to look in and reach product. Because it uses a hydrocarbon refrigerant, servicing should be done by an engineer familiar with R290 systems.
