Why this plate earns its place
Stonecast Patina plates bring a material aesthetic to everyday service. The glaze mimics the surface tones and texture of metal, stone and leather worn naturally over time, lending tactile depth to simple plating without drawing focus from the food. This is working tableware, not decoration — the burnished green sits quietly on a busy table.
Round walled plates this size — 260 mm — take a full service's main course without crowding the plate. Porcelain holds heat longer than earthenware, keeping food at temperature through the pass and across the dining room. The design reads the same from any angle, so asymmetric plating or mise-en-place placement works equally well.
The glaze is durable enough for high-turnover service. Chips and crazing are the normal wear on commercial crockery; porcelain takes them better than cheaper ceramics, and the textured surface masks minor marks that would show on a glossy finish. Stacks tight in a commercial dishwasher and takes the heat of repeated passes.
