Gas Countertop Fryers

A gas countertop fryer is a compact deep-fat fryer fired by natural gas or LPG that sits on an existing worktop, suited to small takeaways, mobile catering units and pubs wanting the fast heat recovery of gas without the footprint or cost of a full freestanding model. It bridges the gap between a low-power electric countertop fryer and a large floor-standing gas unit.

Key specifications

Gas countertop fryers typically offer a single tank with 8-12 litres of oil capacity, burner output of around 4-7kW on natural gas or LPG, and a thermostat range of roughly 130-190°C. Look for 304 stainless steel construction, a cool-zone base to extend oil life, and confirm flue or extraction requirements with a Gas Safe engineer before installation, since even smaller gas appliances need adequate ventilation.

Gas Countertop Fryers — FAQs

Is a gas countertop fryer suitable for a small takeaway with limited space?

Yes — it gives the fast heat recovery of gas frying in a compact footprint, though you’ll still need to confirm a suitable gas connection and extraction point are available at the counter position.

Gas or electric countertop fryer for a mobile catering unit?

Gas suits units with an existing LPG bottle supply and wanting quick temperature recovery; electric suits units running off generator or mains power without a gas connection.

Roller Grill and Lincat make up the stocked range, suiting small takeaways, mobile catering and compact pub kitchens.
