TEFCOLD Completes Its Tenth Acquisition Since 2018

Commercial refrigeration buyers rarely care about corporate acquisitions for their own sake. They care when those deals affect product choice, availability, support and the strength of the supplier behind the warranty.

TEFCOLD has acquired the HoReCa-related business assets of Badajoz-based Clima Hosteleria, effective 1 July 2026. It is TEFCOLD’s tenth acquisition since 2018.

A much stronger Iberian operation

TEFCOLD says the deal nearly doubles its market share in Spain and Portugal and extends sales coverage across the Iberian Peninsula.

Spain is one of Europe’s biggest hospitality markets, so this is more than a small regional bolt-on.

Why it could matter in the UK

The immediate business is in Spain and Portugal, but TEFCOLD says the acquisition also expands its overall product assortment and manufacturer relationships.

That does not mean every newly connected product automatically reaches the UK catalogue. It does create a larger group with more purchasing scale, wider product knowledge and additional supplier relationships.

For Craven customers, the practical questions will be whether the deal leads to new UK products, stronger stock availability or improved parts access. Those outcomes should be measured as they appear rather than assumed on announcement day.

Ten acquisitions in eight years

Ten acquisitions since 2018 tells us something important about TEFCOLD’s direction. The group is actively consolidating commercial plug-in refrigeration distribution across Europe rather than relying only on organic growth.

Scale can bring broader choice and stock depth. It can also create model overlap and more complicated ranges. That makes a knowledgeable dealer more useful, not less: someone still needs to identify which product is current, supported and right for the site.

This is credible manufacturer news because it may influence the range and support structure behind the equipment Craven sells. We will watch for concrete UK catalogue additions rather than turn a corporate announcement into promises it has not yet made.
